The Wells Fargo Foundation has awarded $15,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Lake-Sumter to help build a home in Lady Lake. Habitat Lake-Sumter is one of more than 131 Habitat for Humanity affiliates awarded grant funding through the 2025 Wells Fargo Builds program to increase access to affordable homes across the U.S. Through its home ownership program, Habitat Lake-Sumter sells affordable site-built homes to individuals and families within Lake and Sumter counties who have demonstrated need, are willing to partner with Habitat, meet the program guidelines and have the ability to sustain an affordable monthly mortgage payment.
