Volunteers are the heart of Habitat for Humanity Lake-Sumter. Together, we’re building a community where everyone has a place to call home.

Special Event Volunteer Opportunities
Youth Impact Day
Youth Impact Days offer high school students the opportunity to gain volunteer experience, fulfill community service hours, and become engaged in their local community.
Youth Impact Days are hosted the second Saturday on a bi-monthly basis, location and activities vary.
Collegiate Challenge
Our Collegiate Challenge program offers college students from across the U.S. and around the world meaningful, year-round volunteer opportunities.
During an alternative break, students volunteer with Habitat Lake-Sumter to build affordable homes, repair existing homes, and support the families we serve. Along the way, you’ll gain a transformative experience through service, discover your potential to make an impact, and create lasting memories.
Students must be ages 18 or older. Invite your friends, apply for a Collegiate Challenge opportunity, and get ready for an unforgettable experience!
RV Care-A-Vanner
We are proud to participate in Habitat for Humanity’s Care-a-Vanner program. This volunteer program invites anyone who travels by recreational vehicle to make Habitat Lake-Sumter part of your journey.
With the RV Care-A-Vanners, you’ll get the chance to meet and work alongside families and fellow volunteers at dedicated build sites. We will share in the benefit of the significant skills, energy, and enthusiasm of the RV Care-A-Vanners, who in just two weeks substantially accelerate our building program and bring us closer to a community where everyone has a place to call home.
Every RV-er is welcome; no experience needed. Check out our volunteer code of conduct (PDF) to see volunteer expectations.
