The Veterans Housing Initiative seeks to help veterans and their families find the housing assistance they need, whether that means a chance at home ownership or help with home repairs and accessibility modifications.

We provide Veterans with resources and referrals to additional wrap-around services like food security, health and wellness resources, and financial counseling. Through this program, local Veterans can access safe and affordable housing opportunities, and the support of a caring community.

Your generosity today honors those who have served our country and impacts the lives of veterans and their families across Lake and Sumter Counties, providing them with the safe, affordable housing solutions they need to thrive.

We successfully launched our Veterans Housing initiative with the completion of a 14-unit pocket neighborhood, The Umatilla Veterans Village, in 2018. Since then, our program has grown to include new construction, preservation, and critical home repairs for veterans throughout Lake and Sumter Counties.
